The Grasshopper Trap by Patrick McManus. Amazon Link
It was one of those random finds at the library. Picked it up while putting it away and decided to read the back and I was hooked. Turns out the guy who had just returned the book had recommended it highly to the clerk who checked it in. I have to concur!
It was LOL funny. I look forward to enjoying more of McManus's work in the future.
